All employers have a responsibility to provide suitable firefighting equipment to ensure that persons with suitable training can prevent a small wastepaper bin sized fire from spreading to the whole building preventing people from escaping. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 as amended outlines these requirements within Article 13.
