Domestic building fire

At 5.22pm on Saturday (3) crews from Kempston and Bedford were called to a fire in a kitchen in De Havilland Avenue, Shortstown.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel and thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire and fans to disperse the smoke.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
