Domestic building fire

At 6:34pm on Tuesday (13) two crews from Luton, one crew from Stopsley and one crew from Leighton Buzzard were called to a fire in a kitchen in Windsor Walk, Luton.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel although cooker fire our on arrival. Fans were used to disperse smoke. One male suffering burns to his hands and one female suffering smoke inhalation were left in the care of the ambulance service. A 9m ladder was used to carry out external survey.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
