Large vehicle fire

At 4.48pm on Friday (22) crews from Sandy, Biggleswade and two other from Kempston were called to a lorry trailer fire on the A1 southbound, between the Black Cat and Sandy roundabouts.

The vehicle was 30% involved in fire, two firefighters with breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire. Thermal imaging cameras were in use.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
