Domestic building fire

At 9.14pm on Sunday (7) two crews from Bedford, two from Kempston, along with crews from Sandy and Leighton Buzzard, were called to a fuse box fire in a two-storey detached property in Northill Road, Cople.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire, along with a covering jet and two dry powder extinguishers. They also used a thermal imaging camera and carried out a tier one fire investigation.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
