At 11.32am on Thursday (18) crews from Bedford and Kempston and were called to a small kitchen fire caused by cooking at a property in Carrick South Drive, Shortstown.

At 11.32am on Thursday (18) crews from Bedford and Kempston and were called to a small kitchen fire caused by cooking at a property in Carrick South Drive, Shortstown.
The fire was out on arrival and a female resident was left in the care of the ambulance service for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
