Domestic building fire

At 3.58am on Monday (17) crews from Bedford and Kempston were called to a chip-pan fire in a property in Redwood Grove, Bedford.  

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel and a covering jet to extinguish the fire and fans to clear the smoke. Fire crews provided trauma care to one adult female resident and one adult male resident for smoke inhalation. Residents left in care of Ambulance Service.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
