Domestic building fire

At 6.52pm on Wednesday (31) crews from Leighton Ampthill, Kempston and Toddington were called to a fire which started in a shed and spread to the conservatory at a property in Montgomery Close, Stewartby.  

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots. Firefighters also checked adjacent properties to ensure that they were unaffected by fire.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
