Garage fire

At 11.26am on Saturday (10) crews from Kempston and Bedford, a water carrier and aerial ladder were called to reports of a fire in a roof of a garage in Tiverton Road, Bedford.  

On arrival, crews found a small vehicle fire in a single storey garage of a block of garages. A car within the garage was about 30 per cent involved in fire, and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished it using a hose reel and ladders, before inspecting the building and neighbouring garages with thermal imaging cameras.  

A fire investigation has determined it is most likely to fire started accidentally.
