Fire in the open

At 10.59pm on Wednesday (21) a crew from Leighton Buzzard were called to a fire in a electrical substation in Leicester Close, Luton.      

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots. Scene handed over to UK Power Networks.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
