Domestic building fire

At 9.29pm on Thursday (12) crews from Bedford and Kempston and an incident command unit from Leighton Buzzard were called to a fire in a ground floor flat in London Road, Bedford.  

The first floor of the building was evacuated before firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels and jets to extinguish the fire and fans to clear the smoke.    

The cause of the fire was accidental.
