Fire in the open Large

At 11.03pm on Saturday (14) crews from Kempston and Shefford were called to a large fire involving approximately 530 tonnes of baled straw on Clophill Road, Gravenhurst.  

Fire had spread to adjacent stubble, so landowner created a fire break with cultivation machinery. Firefighters used a hose reel and high-pressure lance to extinguish the fire.    

The cause of the fire was deliberate.
