Fire in the open

At 6.17pm on Saturday (21) crews from Kempston and Shefford were called to a peat fire in Green End, Maulden.      

Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, small gear and two thermal imaging cameras were used to check for hotspots.      

The cause of the fire was accidental.
