Domestic building fire

At 5.48pm on Wednesday (2) crews from Luton, Stopsley and Leighton Buzzard were called to a fire in a garage at a property in Carlton Crescent, Luton.

Fire wearing breathing apparatus used three hose reels and jets to extinguish the fire and fans to clear the smoke. Two occupants conveyed to hospital suffering smoke inhalation.

The adjoining property also suffered with smoke damage in the loft and was assessed with a gas monitor.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
