At 10.33am on Thursday (24) crews Kempston and Luton and a boat from Bedford were called to search and recover an elderly gentleman who was seen entering the water at Barkers Lane, Bedford.

At 10.33am on Thursday (24) crews Kempston and Luton and a boat from Bedford were called to search and recover an elderly gentleman who was seen entering the water at Barkers Lane, Bedford.
Firefighters in full water safety PPE used a sled, drone and underwater camera to search water but no persons found. Scene handed to Police as a missing persons case.
