Vehicle fire

At 8.05am on Friday (1) a crew from Kempston was called to a heated lithuim battery in a van in a vehicle in Stewartby Way, Stewartby.    

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus removed batteries from the van and placed in a bucket of water. A hose reel and thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots was also used.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
