Fire in the open

At 10.12pm on Wednesday (13) two crews from Leighton Buzzard were called to a small fire in the open in Johnson Drive, Leighton Buzzard.    

Firefighters attended the scene to find some waste and furniture burning in the front garden which had spread to neighbouring property.  Firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and fans to clear the smoke at both properties. A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hotspots. Residents moved to temporary accommodation.

An investigation determined that the cause of the fire was accidental.
