At 12.22pm on Friday (6) crews from Luton and Stopsley were called to a house fire at a property in Stuart Road, Barton-Le-Clay.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels and covering jets to extinguish the fire. A dog and a tortoise were rescued by Firefighters.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
