Domestic building fire

At 10.12am on Sunday (29) crews from Bedford, Dunstable, Luton, Stopsley and Toddington were called to a kitchen fire in a first floor flat in block of flats in Hart Hill Drive, Luton.    

Firefighters used a hose reel and jets to extinguish the fire and fans to clear the smoke.  

One male occupant was escorted from the flat by the FRS and taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
