Domestic building fire

At 11.40am on Thursday (13) crews from Bedford and Kempston were called to a tumble drier fire in a property in Kimble Drive, Bedford.      

Fighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel and covering jet to extinguish the fire and high-pressure fans to clear the smoke.  Crews used thermal imaging cameras to check for hot spots.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
