At 9.07pm on Sunday (23) a crew from Stopsley was called a road traffic collision involving one car in collision with bridge barrier resulting in a car fire. The incident took place at Pepperstock Roundabout junction with M1.      

The fire had been extinguished prior to arrival. Firefighters used a hose reel to cool the engine and used thermal imaging cameras to check for hot spots.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
