Commercial Building Fire
At 7.06am on Saturday (15) crews from Luton, Stopsley, Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard were called to an accidental kitchen fire in a ground floor restaurant in Upper George Street, Luton.

The property was damaged by fire and smoke. Smoke spread to four storey block of student accommodation, comprising 40 rooms, which was fully evacuated by Firefighters at 7.37am.
Fighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels, a covering jet and safety jet to extinguish the fire. Cutting equipment and small tools were also used.
All residents of the accommodation were permitted to return to their rooms at 9.52am. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
