Fire in the Open

At 6.09pm on Monday (24), two crews from Luton were called to a garden fire at a property in Maple Road West, Luton.

The fire involved a lean-to structure and garden furniture and spread to three additional garden fences. Heat from the fire caused structural damage to a neighbouring property.

Firefighters using breathing apparatus, used two hose reels and stack drags to extinguish the fire and two thermal imaging cameras to check for hotspots.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
