Fire in the Open

At 6.24pm on Tuesday (25), crews from Biggleswade and Potton were called to a fire involving a row of conifers in Rowan Crescent, Biggleswade.

The fire, caused by a bonfire, affected approximately 10 metres of conifers, with 20% of the row damaged. Crews cut back and dampened down the area using a hose reel, small tools and a thermal imaging camera.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
