Domestic building fire

At 5.55pm on Wednesday (26) two crews from Luton attended a fire in a kitchen of an end-of-terrace property in Mortimer Close, Luton.

Half of the kitchen had been destroyed by fire and the whole room had smoke damage.  

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels jets, a covering jet, to extinguish the fire and high-pressure fans to clear the smoke. Gas and electricity were isolated in the property.
