Domestic building fire
At 12.42pm on Friday (4) crews from Dunstable and Luton were called to a fire in a bedroom of three-story property in Princes Street, Dunstable.
At 12.42pm on Friday (4) crews from Dunstable and Luton were called to a fire in a bedroom of three-story property in Princes Street, Dunstable.
Firefighters arrived to find a fire approximately 10m x 25m which had damaged 70% of the room. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel and jets to extinguish the fire and high-pressure fans to clear the smoke. Crews also used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
One female casualty suffering with severe burns left in the care of the air ambulance. A further male casualty with burns to hand and elderly female casualty suffering from smoke inhalation left in the care of medical professionals.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
